ABOUT US

The I.U.O.E Local Union 450 Apprenticeship and Training Fund is a hybrid program, meaning our apprenticeship program is measured through a combination of hours spent in the program and competence demonstrated in the workplace.

Our apprenticeship program covers a three-year period or more to acquire the mandatory 4,000 to 6,000 hours of paid on-the-job training (O.J.T.) and the non-paid related classroom instruction of 144 hours per year (432 hours total) during the program. Our safety-based training is designed for rigging and heavy equipment in the commercial and industrial construction fields.

Our union covers 101 counties in southeast Texas.
